Fabrication of Electroplated Nickel Composite Films Using Cellulose Nanofibers Introduced with Carboxy Groups as Co-Deposited Materials

چکیده

In this study, the fabrication of nickel (Ni)-cellulose nanofiber (CNF) composite electroplating films was attempted using sodium carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) and 2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidine 1-oxyl (TEMPO)-oxidized CNF as introduced with carboxy groups. As a result, co-deposition confirmed for both CNFs, former showed 82% improvement in surface Vickers hardness compared to plated film deposited from conventional Watts bath without CNF. Although latter slightly inferior 71% improvement, roughness measurement smoother than that copper material C1100. On other hand, CMC had rough surface. The image analysis distance between co-deposited on 40% shorter specimen TEMPO CMC, indicating fine dispersion obtained. addition, model proposed which Ni is chelate complex formed carboxylate ions. fixed by deposition simultaneous bond hydrogen ions carboxylate, resulting return group.

Nanocomposite edible films from mango puree reinforced with cellulose nanofibers.

Cellulose nanoreinforcements have been used to improve mechanical and barrier properties of biopolymers, whose performance is usually poor when compared to those of synthetic polymers. Nanocomposite edible films have been developed by adding cellulose nanofibers (CNF) in different concentrations (up to 36 g/100 g) as nanoreinforcement to mango puree based edible films. The effect of CNF was stu...

Flexible Cellulose Nanofibril Composite Films with Reduced Hygroscopic Capacity

Cellulose nanofibrils (CNFs), which are generated from abundant, environmentally friendly natural plant resources, display numerous interesting properties such as outstanding mechanical strength, negligible light scattering, and low thermal expansion (Zimmermann et al., 2010). These nanofibers are usually created by mechanical fibrillation or chemical oxidation of pulp fibers. CNFs have previou...
